Scanning
and comparing processes as the whole go by the name
of TFS (Twin Files Sweeper).
The progress of both scanning and comparing processes
is reflected in tree progress bar. One of the bars reflects
the entire process while the other two bars refer to
each separate process.
After
you started TFS,
all the changes in the statistics are displayed in the
table that contains eleven categories. The following
categories are available:
- Total
files - Total number of all files.
- Total
size - Total size of all files.
- Current
file - Ordinal number of file being compared (in progressive
order).
- Suspicious
files - Number of files that may be identical to one
or more files.
- Current
Suspicious file - Ordinal number of current "Suspicious"
file.
- Dupes
found - Number of that fully qualify as duplicates.
- Elapsed
Time - How much time the process has taken so far.
- Disk
read - Amount of information that has been read from
the disk.
- Average
disk read speed - Average reading speed during the
whole period of scanning.
- Disk
read speed - Current reading speed.
- File
sorting speed - how many files can be sorted in a
minute (may depend on what other programs are currently
running, system resources, number of total files,
etc.)
