This is the main interface window. It is displayed first after the program has been launched .Its appearance and functionality is very much like those of Windows Explorer. All functions associated with handling file lists are implemented. The window itself contains of   7 panes: Toolbar, Status Bar, Path History, Folder Tree, Preview, File List and Menu.  Folder Tree, Preview and File List are presented independently and can be moved around on the desktop independently from each other. Thus you can arrange them in the way that is most convenient for you. To close a particular pane just click on the cross in the upper right corner or uncheck the respective bar in the Menu View / Show panes. To restore the closed pane, check the bar near its name in the Menu View / Show panes.

1 - Toolbar 

By default the Toolbar has the following buttons:

         DESCRIBE – allows you to make description for any file. This is a unique field, where you can enter any comments on this file (e.g. birthdates or tel. # of those on the   picture).

         NEW WINDOW – opens a new Handy Look window (a new program instance). This allows for simultaneous viewing of two images, which is very helpful if you want, for example, to compare two pictures.

        NEW FOLDER – creates a new folder enabling you to easily catalogue your files.  

        DELETE – removes unnecessary images or files. Might prove helpful in working with large amount of files in Thumbnail Mode.

        MOVE TO -allows you to move images or files to other folders. Very practical, too, for working with larger number of files in Thumbnail Mode.

        COPY TO – designed to copy an image or files to any folder.

        PRINT – lets you print the image or file that you like.

        OPTIONS – allows you to tune the program in accordance with your taste. The Light version supports changing only Slide Show and Browser options.

        REFRESH - refreshes  the folder without exiting it. That is very helpful when working in a corporative network or when downloading files from the internet.

The right click on the Toolbar opens the following commands:

Change Background - allows you to change the appearance of the Program. Choose the texture from the template or create it yourself.

Customize - allows you to customize the Toolbar in accordance with your own taste.

Hide Toolbar - allows you to hide the Toolbar

2 - STATUS BAR

Status Bar is in the lower part of the Browser window. It displays attribute information on selected files:

1)       number of files in the folder and their total size

2)       file properties  in Viewer Mode (file size and date of creation)

3)       file name

4)       graphic dimensions of file and its color mode.

3 - PATH HISTORY

Path History is presented in “Drop down list” form. It contains all paths to the files that that has been opened since the last launch of the program.

4 - FOLDER TREE

Folder Tree (of Ryso Handy Look) is very much like that in Explorer and allows for easy navigation between the folders and the drivers. The navigation process is similar to navigation in Windows, which spares you from having to take extra time to master it.

5 - PREVIEW WINDOW

In Preview Window you can immediately see the preview image of the graphic file if the program supports this format. Double click on the image to see the full-size version of the picture in Viewer Mode.

6 - FILE LIST WINDOW

Name - file name
Type - file type
Size – file size
Date– file creation date

Image Properties – image file properties, such as image size and its color mode.
Description – this is a unique field where you can provide any comments on the file such as birthdates or phone numbers of those on the picture.

Right click inside the File List field triggers Popup context Menu that contains the most common commands. Using these can greatly expedite your work.
