Start Ryso EasyThumbs. You will see the Main window of RET and you can choose a ready-made template for your gallery. The "Back" and "Next" buttons at the bottom are designed for quick navigation among the steps of the template - this term refers to a ready-made format for your gallery complete with all settings predefined for you. Make sure that the checkbox Generate Thumbnails is checked.
If you have already created some galleries using RET and now want to modify them, select in the Menu File=>Open. In the dialog window that will appear, select the template you want and click Open. In this case, remember to check Modify and regenerate existing Html files.
Please note that you do not have to strictly follow all the steps and may skip any of them if necessary.

1. Folders
Input: folder with source files that after processing will be moved to Output Folder as ready galleries.

Output: folder that is intended for all galleries that you will create.  

To select Input or Output folder, use the folder tree on the left of the program window or type the correct path to either of the folders.

Note! One and the same folder cannot act as Input folder and Output folder at one moment. To select Input, check first the appropriate checkbox and click then the suitable folder in the folder tree on the left. To select Output, just repeat the same steps as for Input (make sure you first marked the checkbox next to the appropriate field).

2. Statistics
Number of full galleries: is calculated based on the number of files located in the Input folder divided by the number that you indicate in the field called Number of files in gallery.

Summary files size: summary size of files found in the Input folder.

Total number of files: total number of files in the Input folder.

Remaining files: number of leftover files that remain after the calculation of the number of full galleries is over. Such files are too few to generate a complete gallery.

First gallery: refers to the ordinal number of the gallery that will be created first. The choice of the number may depend on the highest ordinal number given to an existing folder that is already located in Input folder (e.g. if there's a folder numbered 98, then the folder you are about to create will be automatically numbered 99).   The ordinal number of the folder to be created can be changed manually in the appropriate field.

Last Gallery: refers to the ordinal number of the last of the galleries to be created.

3. Galleries
Create Subdirectories from folder №: a field to indicate the number of the first gallery (if you already have one or more galleries created with RET in the Input folder, the gallery/ies you are about to create will be automatically numbered consequently.

Number of files in gallery: you can indicate how many files each of your galleries will contain. This rate can be easily changed at your wish.

4. Action

Generate thumbnails: when this checkbox is checked, the program will generate files, such as html and thumbnails.

Modify and regenerate existing Html files: if you wish to redesign the existing galleries created by RET, select the directory they are located in as Output folder. Then check the appropriate checkbox, open another template and click two times "Next" button (not a double click).
